Turris Bisleonis cooperative was officially born in 2004 with the aim of enhancing and promoting the historical and artistic value of the Basilica of San Gavino, which is one of the most important monuments of the city of Porto Torres, and it stands out for its original features in the vast architectural scene of the Sardinian Romanesque Style.

The cooperative has begun to take its first steps thanks to an agreement with the Archdiocese of Sassari, making guided tours inside the basilica, the baroque crypt and the Monumental Complex of Monte Agellu.

The service is the strong point of the activities of the cooperative and it is ensured every day from April to October, thanks to the presence of qualified staff.

Since May 2012 the visit of the two churches, overlooking the sea, Balai Vicino and Balai Lontano, is guaranteed on reservation.

The experience gained over the years and the intensification of the relationships with other associations have led the cooperative to intensify its operation in the field of cultural heritage and tourism and to expand the range of its activities, adding to the guided tours the organization of events such as conferences and historical re-enactment.

The Turris Bisleonis staff is also specialized in tourist information services: from the month of April 2012 the cooperative offers assistance, in foreign languages, to the cruise passengers who disembark in Porto Torres.
